We asked Citizens Advice to produce a toolkit for advisers on discrimination in the workplace.
The toolkit will also be useful for individuals looking for guidance on their own circumstances.
The toolkit can help you to:
- understand how equality law works
- identify or rule out unlawful discrimination
- write a formal complaint about something which happened at work (a grievance letter)
- take a case to tribunal
The toolkit includes templates for letters, documents and forms that you might need when looking into a discrimination case.
The guides are available on the Citizens Advice website:
Advice and support
If you think you might have been treated unfairly and want further advice, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
The EASS is an independent advice service, not operated by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
