This report looks at how evidence from behavioural science can offer new and innovative ways to change the behaviour of both employers and women.

The report presents research conducted in early 2016 by the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

It looks at the three challenges the Equality and Human Rights Commission chose to focus on, based on earlier research findings:

  • flexible working
  • health and safety
  • recruitment

It uses BIT's four-step 'TEST' methodology:

  • target
  • explore
  • solution
  • trial
