Prospective Revisions to the Code of Practice for Ministerial Appointments to Public Bodies in Scotland

In August 2020, the Ethical Standards Commissioner consulted on possible changes to its Code of Practice on how ministers are appointed to public bodies in Scotland.

Public bodies must comply with the public sector equality duty. We want to make sure that the updated Code of Practice reduces existing inequalities in board appointments.
