What is the consultation for?

The Scottish Government commissioned an independent review of adult social care. The aim of the review was to improve the system and promote better outcomes for people using these services.

Why have we responded to the consultation?

We want to make sure that the Scottish Government uses equality law as a guide when making changes to the adult social care system.

Our recommendations

Ministers, leaders of public bodies and senior managers in the adult social care sector must make sure that every decision includes consideration of the public sector equality duty.
