This report reviews the UK government’s recent developments in relation to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).

In 2019, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women published observations on how well the UK government is putting the rights included in CEDAW into practice.

This report focuses on the UK government’s response since then.

In the report we:

  • show where progress has been made
  • highlight the main concerns or challenges we have identified
  • make recommendations to the UK and Welsh governments
