Gender pay gap: ethnic minorities experience deep inequalities

Published: 6 March 2017

The Fawcett Society today published its analysis of the gender pay gap by ethnicity.

Rebecca Hilsenrath, Chief Executive of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, said:

The more we know about pay gaps, the more complex the issue appears. Pay gaps affect different groups in different ways, and are yet another indicator of the deep inequalities experienced by some ethnic minorities. Our own research, to be released shortly, will show just how complicated it is and our strategy will outline recommendations on how it can be addressed.
