Support for Polish human rights commissioner

Wedi ei gyhoeddi: 28 Hydref 2016

Rebecca Hilsenrath, Chief Executive of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, said:

We stand shoulder to shoulder with Poland’s Commissioner for Human Rights who is our friend and colleague. It is vitally important that he is allowed to carry out his role without government interference.

The human rights of people living in Poland are no different to the human rights of people living in Britain and it is the important work of National Human Rights Institutions that help to uphold these international standards.

We have recently worked with the Polish Ambassador in efforts to tackle the rise in incidents of racism and hate crime and we will continue this valuable partnership.
