To support Scottish public authorities in meeting their equality duties, the Commission has produced technical and non-statutory guidance.

Non-statutory Guidance on the Public Sector Equality Duty
These guides provide an overview of the public sector equality duty, including the general equality duty, the specific duties and who they apply to. They cover what public authorities should do to meet the duty, including steps that are legally required, as well as recommended actions. The Board Diversity aspect of the Public Sector Duty has been legislated for but not yet implemented. Please check with the Scottish Government for further information on likely implementation dates.
